What is the Combat Pistol in FiveM?
The Combat Pistol is one of the pistols in GTA V. It’s compact, semi-automatic and has a very recognizable straight slide. Because of that shape, the community knows it as the game’s Glock-style pistol. In FiveM its internal name is weapon_combatpistol: if you see that in a pack’s README, the skin is for this weapon.
If you’re looking for a FiveM pistol skin and don’t know where to start, this one is a good choice.
The Combat Pistol in RP and PvP
- In RP it fits almost any character. Its simple look works just as well for a cop as for a gang member. Which one you can carry depends on each server’s rules.
- In PvP it rewards your aim. Since it’s semi-automatic, you get one shot per click, so your control matters more than fire rate.
- It’s the one you’ll look at the most. If it’s your go-to gun, its skin is what you’ll see in every firefight and every video you record. That’s why it makes sense for it to be the first one you change.
Which styles suit it best
The Combat Pistol is small, with straight lines. It looks best with designs that make the most of the slide and the grip:
- Glass slides with a scene inside. The slide is long and flat, so a galaxy with planets or a lava lamp really shows.
- Liquid marble. Since it’s compact, you see the whole sheen without turning the gun.
- 3D charms. A gold chain or a keychain on the grip gives it a touch of its own.
- Coiled creatures. A dragon or a panther coming out of the grip adds volume to such a small gun.
If you play PvP and don’t want anything distracting, a clean design like marble is a good choice. For everything else, check the FiveM graphics settings for PvP. For recording or RP, creatures and charms look better.
Before you add it: check which pistol you carry
The most common mistake with this skin is carrying a different pistol. The skin replaces only the Combat Pistol: if your server gives you the regular Pistol or the Pistol MK2, you won’t see it. Before installing anything, check which weapon your server gives you. If it’s a different one, there are skins for the Pistol MK2 and for the AP Pistol.

Is the Combat Pistol the Glock-style pistol?
It's the one the community calls that, because of its shape: compact, semi-automatic, with a straight slide. That's why skins in that style that go around usually replace this weapon. We call it by its in-game name, Combat Pistol.
Does a Combat Pistol skin work on the Pistol or the Pistol MK2?
No. Each skin replaces one specific weapon. The Combat Pistol one only shows when you're carrying the Combat Pistol. For the other one, there are Pistol MK2 skins.
Which Combat Pistol skin is best for PvP?
One with a clean design, like liquid marble, that doesn't get in the way when you aim. Creatures and charms look better for RP or for recording videos.
